UNEP-SBCI and GI-REC Joint Symposium – Sustainable Buildings and Cities

These conferences are organized in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in the framework of the of its initiatives, in which ENERGIES 2050 is a partner:

  • the Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative (UNEP-SBCI) and
  • the Global Initiative for Resource Efficient Cities (GI-REC)

The two days of conferences will gather international partners from both these initiatives.

In a context of growing urbanization worldwide (75% of world population will live in cities in 2050) and knowing that the built environment is one of the most important contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, sustainable construction and urbanism are major issues in the fight against climate change.

This conference aims to highlight the many opportunities of action, to exchange on technical, organizational and financial innovation as well as on climate strategies and policies at the national and international levels. This conference will gather local, national and international decision makers and will host presentations from technical experts.

Registration to these conferences is mandatory.
